i am currently recuperating from penile implant surgery. so, yes i do have ED. i've seen my urologist many times over this issue.
i've tried viagra, cialis, levitra, penis pumps, penis suppositories, and injections into the base of my penis. NOTHING HELPED for any great length of time.
did i ever question my sexuality---ABSOLUTELY NOT. that is one question the doctor wanted to rule out first so i wouldn't be blaming a desire for gay sex as the cause of my ED problems.
i passed the straight test with flying colors and the doctor did an
ultra sound which resulted in his diagnosis that insufficient blood was passing through the penis to enable me to achieve an erection.
w/closer examination of my medical history and drug therapies i'm on (diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, and 3 different anti-depressants for depression and anxiety disorder) the doctor questioned how it was possible that i ever rec'd a normal erection.
so, no i didn't worry about turning gay. all i worried about was restoring myself to a renewed sex life with my wife. hopefully, we'll know within the next 6-8 weeks.

Is this a problem you are struggling with? Sometimes, particularly with younger men, when they have an erection problem, they fear that it may be that they are not attracted to the woman they are with (therefore to any women) or that they just don't have enough sex drive, as you suggested.
Well, it could very well be that you are gay, are struggling to accept that, and have not given yourself psychological permission to explore that side of you. Pick up a gay magazine, spend time alone with it, and see if you enjoy it. That could help you answer this question.
Another possibiility is a health issue. So many things can have an impact on your ability to have an erection. Low testerone level, high blood sugar (related to diabetes), excessive drinking or drug abuse, steriods, not getting enough sleep, stress related to work, school or family. These are all worth exploring.
Your doctor can certainly be of help, both in figuring out the cause and in exploring possible solutions.
And finally, about the priest comment...I suspect that some men do become priests because it helps them ignore the issue of sexuality, maybe because they are uncomfortable with their sexual orientation or because they have performance anxiety. However, I would not say they are disguised as a priest. Whatever their motivation, I believe the vast majority of priests are dedicated to their religion and church, and are committed to helping others. Although this is an option, the only problem is that it postpones figuring out what is going on rather than eliminating the problem.
Good luck.

Sincerely I couldn't wait for an erective problem for confessing my gayness. I never could disguise as a priest because if I'll be young then I try to treat the disease while if too old I pension my penis with no shame!
