I think its just in our human nature to be nosey. Whoever says they aren't nosey is a liar. Some people are more open than others and will just ask, while others will say nothing but keep their ears wide open. Other peoples business makes good gossip. I know its harsh but its the truth.

Good question. I have some family and friends like this. Very nosy. I think they have there own insecurities and want something or someone to project them onto but its not a nice thing to do.
