I'm hoping to go there sometime, and there are some destinations that I'm going to visit, but I can't figure out how to get there.
I wanna get to:
the Tokyo National Museum (name may be wrong)
the Chiba City Museum of Art
Naritasan Shinshuji Temple, Chiba
and maybe somewhere for entertainment

I'd be staying at the Crowne Plaza Metropolitan,
6-1, Nishi-Ikebukuro 1-Chome

I'll really appreciate any answers I can get. Thanks.

Tokyo Metropolitan Musem – Ueno Station
From Ikebukuro take the JR Yamanote Line (Green) toward Ueno (So the next station should be Otsuka) and get off at Ueno Station.
Should take about 20-25 minutes.
I think it was like 10 mins away from Ueno Station on foot.

Chiba City Museum of Art – Chiba Station
From Ikebukuro take the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi line (Subway) to Tokyo Station (I think it was 8 stations away…)
At Tokyo Station change to the JR train Soubu Line (Yellow train) to Chiba. Make sure you’re on the Rapid because it takes awhile for the regular trains to get to Chiba.
I think it’ll take about 45 minutes (???) But I’m not too sure.
From Chiba Station it’s about 15 mins away on foot.

I think you mean Narita-san ShinSHO-ji Temple (??) – JR Narita Station
From Ikebukuro go to Tokyo Station like above for Chiba City Museum and change trains at Tokyo Station to the Rapid Airport Narita that leaves from the Soubu Line Plat form. This is a special rapid train so I’m guessing there will be extra fees. Not more than 2000 yen I’m guessing.
About an hour and 10 mins from Tokyo station to Narita Station. (Not to confuse it with Narita Airport)
From Narita Station it’s about 10 mins on foot.

As for entertainment, there will be plenty around Ikebukuro.
Also check out below.
Shinjuku - 15 mins away on JR Yamanote line from Ikebukuro. Get on the Yamanote that’s going away from Otsuka station this time. So next stop would be Mejiro.
In Shinjuku go to Kabukicho for the night life, go to the office district to see the sky scrapers, and the Shinjuku Gyoen park for Japanese gardens and others.

Harajuku – 20 mins away on JR Yamanote line from Ikebukuro. Get on the same train as the going to Shinjuku. Harajuku is 2 stations past Shinjuku.
In Harajuku check out Takeshita Dori for the crazy fashion and other stuff like accessories and what not. Also check out Omote Sando street for boutiques of top brand names like COACH and GUCCI and what not.

Shibuya – 25 mins away on JR Yamanote line from Ikebukuro. Same train as above, Shibuya is the next station after Harajuku.
In Shibuya check out Center Gai on the Hachi ko side exit. Watching the people just walking is fun to do. Also walking to Yoyogi Park from here is also fun to do.
Walking from Harajuku station to Shibuya station on Meiji Dori is also fun to do.

Hope that helps and have FUN!

you may have some issues, in spite of the indisputable fact that it's not insurmountable -- you'd be an advantageous illiterate. at the initiating, do somewhat education through having a vacationer's word e book and get usual with a number of the functional sections consisting of ordering at an eatery, inquiring for guidelines, and so on. There are also bilingual (English/jap) maps of Tokyo and its subway structures - get oriented to the lay of the land. it will be powerful in case you took alongside a compass (the city isn't precisely outfitted on a grid gadget). 2d, plan your go back and forth and playout some eventualities on your ideas. the more serious element you could do is only flow and by no skill do ANY making plans and prep. the jap are very powerful and understanding with visitors, yet there's a distinction between being someone who took the time to prep and nevertheless choose some help, and someone who needs help because they were only too lazy. 0.33, study/analyze about different renowned places in Tokyo. you'd be extra ideal waiting to appreciative of what you spot and experience. Be a vacationer rather of a vacationer.

Public transport in Japan is punctual. At main stations there are information offices with English speaking staff. Your hotel too will have English speaking staff, maps and information of the places you would like to visit. Just ask.
