well as a teen myself....i dont think we are. We have too much technology and are not exposed to work. Just celebrity millionares that we think we can all be like. But Hollywood isnt fun and games. its dirrty and rough and i think that if my generation doesnt pull itself together, in 50 years we wont have America anymore. It will be little countries of Mexico and Arabians.

I work as a pretrial services coordinator performing assessments on kids being charged with felonies. I have a lot of kids that come in with felony charges that are only 11 or 12 years old. Even though kids today seem to being doing worse than previous generations, problematic kids or teenagers are still just a small portion of the population. If you think all teens are on the wrong path, you aren't looking hard enough for the good kids.

My opinion is that each child is different and even though a child has had a great upbringing in life, it truthfully nowadays don't mean that your child is going to follow the path of goodness! Children get too caught up in what everybody else thinks and wants to please everyone else these days; If other children are pressuring another child, this child tends to act out and forget the right path! Your question depends on the child and their morals, how they approach life in general! Not all teens have the same beliefs on what the right path may be!

Many are. Many are not. I can only speak for the teens I have been in contact with and really who am I to judge. What I have noticed is that if teens don't have a solid home life with parents that are truly involved in their schooling and healthy activities the young person will look for love and "family" elsewhere. If a teen is not taught the value of working and making a living and saving money do not expect them to know how to balance a checkbook and stay out of debt. It is not cool or vogue to sleep around when you are a young adult even though the images and media say it is. We must teach our kids this as well.

I don't like to judge people as a whole group. I think as long as parents are doing their job in making sure the children they bring in to this world are on the right path then maybe teens have a fighting chance at being something great and making a difference in this world.

Well Dear................mothers have been worrying about their children straying from the path since Poncious was a pilot (well, probable even before he started flying training)
So, I don't suppose that you are all that different from my day - it's just that you are exposed to far more temptations nowdays - you couldn't find pornography on the wireless when I was a girl - but if it was there, I probably would have found it.
So - live life and be happy - and don't worry about things that you can't change!

I think teens today are individual, depending on their maturity level, yes some are on the right path. But they wouldn't of gotten there unless they had a parent or adult to help them. Pointing them to the right path to follow.

Like any generaion there is a mix. Some kids set their sights on the starts ...and will get there.
Others wonder aimlessly for a while until they find their way.
Some never will.
Just like what happened in the past and will in the future.

As long as STRUCTURE interveinously stay in their childhood--teenage years.
I have 4 teenage Grandkids and I had to learn their bahaviors from their moms(my daughters)because the teens of today disrespect and don't give a d----who they disrespect.
I chose to STAY in my teenage kidkids path to show ;backbone, unconditional love, and supportwhen they want to be little children again
