Let me be clear I'm not trying to start sony vs. microsoft but why are microsoft fanboys so aggressive? Obviously there are more sony fans simply beacuse the console sells far more, but if you search the internet there will be 8 out of 10 people saying sony, playstation sucks, halo's the best game etc., etc. It's like they're trying to recriut and brainwash it's so silly to, I prefer Sony but I refuse to argue with people anymore, I actually met a person who refused to talk to me after we argued PS3 vs. XBOX360, so ridiculous!. Come on Mcrososft fanboys it's only a videogame console afterall.

Fanboys of any kind are ridiculous. I play for the great games, not the systems. The console is just a means to an end, a tool that allows you to do a job... In this case, play a game.

I've owned every system from the NES to the 360, including Playstation and Playstation 2. Every console has some great titles, and a couple of the systems have a LOT of great titles. If you don't buy a console simply because of the name, you're cheating yourself out of some great games.

Like I said, I own a 360 and I love it, but that doesn't mean I have to bash Sony or hopeful PS3 owners. They can both be great systems. Why do people think one has to be better than the other? The 360 is a better console _FOR ME_ because it has the things that I want (Xbox Live, XBLA, great exclusive titles, etc) at a price that won't cause me to sell my extra organs.

To answer your question, though, I think Sony and Nintendo fanboys can be just as aggressive. Go to any of the console specific message boards on IGN, and provide "proof" that the specific console of that board sucks or will suck, and you'll see what I mean.

People just want to be 100% confident in their decision to buy a certin machine, and convincing themselves and others that the competition is horrible helps them to feel that way. It's stupid, but it's been going on for years and will continue as long as multiple companies are manufacturing game systems.

I'm a Nintendo fanboy myself, but I don't go around trash-talking other consoles. I like the 360- on the few occasions I've played it, it has been great fun. I am also looking forward to getting a chance to play MGS4 and Assasins Creed on the PS3.

Some people have a lot of money riding on the outcome.
