A lie is neither good nor bad it's your motive, which really matters.

Most of the truths prooves out to be a lie with time..
Infact most of the lies prooves to be more releavant then truth/.
and always a truth and a lie remains intertwined.Duality always exists.
I am living at present, and i am dying with each second passing.
Since truth needs to be a monotonous statement which can never exist...we can say lies rulez our world..and truth is only a dream.
Ohh well many says God is the truth...and that further prooves that truth actually cannot exist..atleast in the Real world...
cos in real world all goes according to relativity..nothing is perfect, no perfect,,, a truth is only a less lie in comparison to other big lie.
A big lie is individuality, or ownership of oneself, or freedom, or emancipation,, all are lies...individuality has its importance only if U r living in a society, where U can differentiate urself from others... so its a realtive world, a lie..freedom is again an illusion cos atleast u cannot free urself from your own desires and needs. and emancipation itself is an illusionary notion just like god..
thus it is quite visible that any truth can exist only in relative terms and is dependent on situations..and hence with the change in situations and perceptions it will change to a lie itself..thus infact that exist is a lie, and truth cannot exist.
The best relative truth which I know is---
"Theres Nothing possible against the laws of nature"

No! lie cannot be good. It is bad only. If a person cultivate the habit of lie with everybody, he will loose his existence in the society. Nobody give respect to him. If the person branded as a lier, even if he tell truth, people will not believe and treat it as lie.

This is an old and overused example but I think it's perfect. You are sitting on your porch and your see a man, your friend and neighbour, run across the street and jump into his backyard. Moments later comes a guy with a shotgun, asking you if you've seen where your friend went. What's good to tell the truth and have your friend killed or lie and save him?

lie is never good!
it is always bad! that's a different thing that i have lied quite a number of times ! hehe but everyone does !
some people say that if a lie does good to somebody then it is not all that bad but the bottomline is that you are giving the person false satifaction and that is sooo not good ?

It depends of the reason for lying! If you lie because you don't want to harm others, I guess that is a white lie. But if your harms other it isn't good at all.

I would say that lie is always bad, although it is so hard to stick to that in practice, I mean we all tend to lie, at least at some moments...

Never a good thing!
You can always phrase the truth in a way so it is not so disturbing to the listener. No one wants to hurt someone's feelings but lies always catch up with in the long run.

Lies can totally be good. Everyone lies. If your mom/girlfried asked you if she looked fat in an outfit and you said, yes, you look like a cow, she would be hurt. It is better to say they look good or guide them nicely and say, you don't look fat but I really like when you wear that red dress.
Or lie to your boss.
Or to your children. Has anyone ever been told about Santa or the Easter Bunny? Lies. Do you hate your parents for it? No.
Lies are great.
