The tiara may make people think you are just trying for a princess or beauty queen....I'd go for the hat (but I'm sure it would look better on you then me!)

Tiaras are reserved for married women, according to the rules of etiquette. Go for the hat (unless you are married), with perhaps a little black dress and pearls.
