We must look at the big picture before we access Pearce's performance.

When he first took over, City were basically awful and in grave danger of relegation or thereabouts. Keeping then safe is definitely one of his achievements.

Last season City did not really perform, but relegation was never really on the cards. In that sense, Pearce has brought a certain sense of top level stability.

I realise City fans are a frustrated bunch, moreso when their rivals, Man Utd, have enjoyed so much success. That they have a large turnout of fans for each game at Eastlands, also adds to this frustration. Most fans have this perception that City should be a big club, a top 6 at least.

But they must realise that achieve this, the club needs to ensure its' Premiership stability first. After a couple of seasons in mid-table safety, then only can the club start looking to the future for some measure of success.Classic examples would be Bolton and Blackburn.
When they came up, they looked very shaky and were always linked with relegation. But gradually, both clubs have improved on each season's shortcomings, and with the right tactics, right manager and right players, they can be considered as top 6 standard.

Pearce needs more time. City will still struggle, but I think they have more than enough in them to ensure safety, That should be Pearce's goal again. Gradually improving the personnel as he goes along and improving on his tactical ability.

In my opinion he has improved the club and given time, he will transform them into side that is worthy of the large support they have.

Thirteen defeats out of the last 17 games and by 16 -50 tomorrow it will probably be 14 out of 18 with defeat at Everton, would suggest he hasn't improved the club any more than the managers before him did. In fact at the moment I think we are worse, even though with the players we've got now we should be better than the teams that keegan, Royle,Clark, and many more before hom had.He hasn't improved the youth system that has been in place for a few years now and is down to the scouts and the youth coaches they provide the players for the manager. An all round good bloke with a very big job as his first in management on a full-time basis.

Think we are about on the same level as when Kevin Keegan left.
Think Physco could do with guidance from somebody like Sam Alladyce on how to buy players on the cheap as he hasnt been given a big budget to use even after being forced to sell all the big stars like Anelka and Wright Phillips.
Think most Blues would settle for a top 10/12 finnish with possibly a good cup run after all its only 7 years since we were at grounds like Lincoln and York.

He has injected some refreshing integrity into the Club, and into his interviews in the Media, shame about the results.

He has done nothing, he's just like Eriksson. He worries only about his salary not about the club.
