If the smell is really fishy you are having a bacterial infection, so no matter how much you clean it your genitalia will still smell. Usually is also with a discharge kind of yellowish and is itchy and a little sore. You will need some antibiotics vaginally and also taking pills, and of course it is treatment that your partner has to do. Try using condoms till you are under medication..it is not too serious but it is not great.

I'm an ob/gyn nurse and you need to go to the doctor . It sounds as if you have Bacteria infection which is not a STD. You get this type of infection from a change in the pH or normal flora being increased in your vagina. You'll need to get an antibiotic and take it for the recommended time prescribed and follow up with your doctor after your medication is gone to be sure your infection is cleared up. Call your doctor today for an appointment. Good luck.

I would see the Dr just to be sure. They can do a culture to check for infection. Some common infections, such as bacterial vaginosis can lead to fertility problems if left untreated. I would go have it checked out. BTW, the over the counter meds will treat yeast infections, but only yeast infections. If you have a bacterial infection, you will need a prescription. Good luck!

Drinking cranberry juice won't do anything for it! Usually a fishy smell is a sign of bacterial infection. See your doc.

Call your doctor's office.. if you don't have a physician than seek medical attention at your local health clinic. Better to be safe and get teh diagnosis rather than try to treat yourself for something you know nothing about.

Sometimes, a few days after intercourse this happens. My doctor told me it could be from the latex of the condom. Eat lots of yogurt and it should solve your problem.
