Its a big fad in Milwaukee right now. I see why old people would want one (i.e. no lawn care) but I would rather have my neighbors not stuck next to me or above me...
I wish they would stop building them in my cheap neighborhood. Soon I will not be able to afford to live there...

I would prefer a house. The association fees for condos are ridiculous in addtion to paying mortgage. Even though you own a condo you don't own the property that surrounds it, but condos are often within the same price range of a house and surronding property. Condo's have rules that you must follow because you have to compromise within such a crowded atmosphere. You don't obtain the same level of privacy in a condo, because you usually are in an apartment setting with neighbors on the other side of a wall or above and below.

Definitely a house. I hated living in apartments with people attached to every side of my home. But I can see the appeal of not having to deal with maintenance.
