I have a very nice dramatic top and very dressy shoes as well as very sparkly earrings. The look is very classy and dramatic the jeans are dark straight and understated. I thin it looks great for the event and crowd and I would be very comfortable in it. But is it just one of those things you just don't do?

By stating specifically "Cocktail attire" that's what you are expected to show up in. If they had stated casual attire jeans would be fine. Get a skirt to match your "dramatic top."

It is just one of those things you dont do. If you wear this you will be uncomfortable all night because you feel under dressed. When they say cocktail they mean woman wear dresses and at the very least slacks. Jeans are a definate NONO...no matter how cute the top is, you will look as though you are dressed to go out to the bars. I'm sure you can find a nice par of black pants or some other color, but definately not jeans.

Reunion Jeans

it sounds good. Now remember a casual outfit is not the same than a cocktail outfit. What you are describing is very trendy and nice, but is not a cocktail outfit. You can still wear it though. This type of event is not that strict on dress codes. If you want to look fresh and innovators, you can still do so by getting a nice cocktail dress or wear the same outfit but with formal pants or black jeans. OH!!!! and not too much glitter for this type of reunion. Remember you are going to meet and talk to your friends, not to spend time in a night club. good luck!!!!

If it says cocktail then that's what it means, so i you still want to wear the dramatic tip and very dressy shoes and sparkly earrings, go get yourself a nice skirt to go with them. Or if you are more comfortable in pants, get dressy pants. Have Fun.

I would wear cocktail attire as that's what the invite states. Jeans are generally not considered cocktail attire. Perhaps you could find a short skirt to replace the jeans? That would make it a little more "cocktail-ish". Have fun at your reunion!

It's a high school reuninion. My attitude in general is "screw em." But if the invite says "cocktail attire," jeans do not qualify. So it just depends if you really care. Consider that you have to balance how comfortable you'd feel in jeans with how uncomfortable you might feel worrying about whether you qualify as dressed for the event.

I think dress slacks would be acceptable but I don't know about jeans for cocktail attire. You don't want to show up and be the only one in jeans. But you also want to be comfortable so there is a fine line. You may want to contact whoever is in charge of the Reunion and run your idea by them. Have fun!

i'd keep away from the reunion if in any respect accessible. If I had to bypass, even with the actuality that: a million.) Is it a wintry climate reunion or a summer? If it develop into wintry climate, i'd positioned on a magnificent pair of jeans and a sweater. If it develop into summer, possibly a funky, breezy white skirt and a brilliant colored suitable. 2.) i'd positioned on my hair probable in a bun if it develop into in the summer (ought to maintain that heavy mane off my neck!) or down in the wintry climate. 3.) i'd positioned on jeans. I went to college each day with those human beings, they bloody properly understand me properly adequate to maintain in mind that jeans are the most comfortable in my e book! 4.) i have in elementary words been graduated from intense college for 4-5 years, no reunions yet. with a bit of luck even as reunion time receives right here, my classmates heavily isn't in a position to locate me to deliver me an invitation :p

Cocktail attire for woman ussually means a dress, such as a little black dress, or a skirt , blouse and jacket or a nice pant suit

However to be honest if you do it right you maybe able to pull it off.
A lot will depend on where the venue is . if its in a poshplace such as restuarant, hotel or hall which is elaborately decorated you might feel most comfortable in a dress.

If it is a casual environment then what you propose will be appropoe
