I work hard to grow my nails, even take prenatal vitiamins. Then, just as they all get long and pretty, they start breaking off and splitting...one at a time. Any suggestions?

put on transparent nail polish when theyre pretty n long.
take in more protein n stuff u dun hav to waste those money on vitamins. my biggest tip in havin pretty nails is stop bitin them n type more, wif ur fingers, not nails.if u know wht i mean =) gd luck

I have the same problem. I tried Sally Hansen, and it didn't work. I now use a nail strengthener that I brush on my nails and cuticles and rub in. I do this morning and night. It has worked! My nails are long and strong and flexible - no cracking/splitting.

The best advice is to use Sally Hansen Hard As as Nails...the small clear bottle. I have used it for years and my nails never, never break and they grow pretty quickly and healthy. It's also cheap to but it's only a couple of dollars at wal-mart.

umm.. why dont you try using strengthening nailpolishes like Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails Strengthening Top Coat.. ? Or you can try using one of the many strengthining polishes found in drugstores. Also, I dont know if you have heard of it or not, but you can use "Nail Elements ; Titanium" which was made speacialy for damaged nails. It can be used as a base or top coat and does wonders for my nails.

drink milk...it will help you keep ur nails strong and also there is some kinda nail polish that helps

Take prenatal vitamins! The work amazingly and they are good for you! Don't over file and try not to open things (soda cans etc.) with your nails

one thing dont bite them and they will grow really long and there is some kind of nail polish that makes them unbreakable and grow longer!

use a nail hardener called witchcraft found at most drug stores,i used it and it worked-gd luck!!!

use nail envy by opi, you can get it in salons, gives your nails strenght and shine.
