Back in the early 90's, I came across a book series about a group of teens who rode dirtbikes in a post-apocalyptic America. I'm pretty sure the books were printed between the early and late 80's. I do know that in one of the books, the teens discovered a mall and went inside to explore. Can anyone help?

No fantasy involved. Actually, these books were in a school library. The school was in Bridgeport Texas. I've tried contacting the library and got no results.

If the people who visit this website cannot help, your best bet is to sign on at the Library of Congress' website at loc.gov and post your question there. If the book was written it is in this library.

Sounds like this could be the books you are thinking of Wild Shore came out in 1984, The Gold Coast in 1988 & Pacific Edge in 1990.

The Three Californias Trilogy (also known as the Wild Shore Triptych and the Orange County Trilogy) consists of three books by Kim Stanley Robinson, that depict three different possible futures of Orange County, California. The three books that make up the trilogy are The Wild Shore, The Gold Coast and Pacific Edge. Each of these books describes the life of young people in the three very different near-futures.
