My questions seem to be offending people and the threat of being reported, having my home petrol bombed, poison pen letters being sent to my mum that type thing is really making me wonder why i bother creating questions to enlighten myself and the masses? so should i continue asking questions and live in fear of iminant death? or should i give up whilst i'm still young and able to make something out my life?

I'd say go for more questions, ask them until you're totally satisfied. Nobody else seems to mind if they annoy other people by asking whatever it is they ask...so don't pay attention to those who are annoyed by your questions. If you enjoy it, do it.
