Are you talking about movie actors going to TV dramas?

There's more money in it. That simple. Would you rather make $750,000 for a six month movie shoot, or $350,000 per weekly episode of a TV series?

That's why they're doing it.

I think that, aside from a steady paycheck, TV dramas are getting very intelligent and creative. They demand good acting skills. TV Drama actors also become steadies in that they have a regular family of a sort on the set and a dedicated regular audience. That must feel good.

If they have a family, the money is good and regular; plus they have more time closer to home. They are people too.
