Yes. On the surface. On the deep a friend takes years to make.

Yes I do. I can talk to anyone of any age. I used to be Incredibly shy but life is too short to not take advantage of. The more people I meet the more I learn. Although I understand it is hard for some people to make friends/meet people. There is a safety shell they put up and can't let down. I understand. Its human nature to shy away from rejection. The human is by nature a social animal. Rejection is like having your 'herd' abandon you. Its a big bad world out there and people need others for emotional security.
babble babble. I suppose this is more than the yes/no you wanted, eh?

Don't make things so complicated. Just smile and ask questions and you got yourself a new friend!

To make meaningful friendships though is a different stories. It takes work like listening, being transparent, driving extra miles to be for the other person on his/her gloomy days, and standing by their side when everybody else has turned their back on them. Friendships like this are rare (and it's normal that it's rare) but you should treasure them and work hard for them.

I make acquaintances easily. I'm very selective about who I call my friend and those that I have are friends for life.

I can make friends very easily, but I seldomly do because of choice. I'm incredibly busy, and I have enough people in my life to focus on.

Yes I do. I think that friends are very important in your life.
They don't have to be your very best or close friends. You can always count on them. I really don't believe in the saying,
It is harder to make friends when you are older. Not true.

No way, I tend to scope everyone out first to see if a friendship is worth forming before getting in too deep and finding out that I befriended a freak.

Yeah, it seems easy to make friends, but keeping them is another story.

Really, I can say that I only have three really good friends (including my wife). The others just come and go with different jobs, etc.

Odd how we go through friends! :-)
