My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 6 months. 11 Aug was my most recent period, but all of the tests I'm taking at home are coming out negative. I also have a little crampy feeling on my left side, around where my ovary is. Should I go to the dr. to get a blood test?

Is there really a danger of a rupture after only a month and a half? Should I wait another few weeks before going to the doctor?

Also, maybe I should've said this...I have had an ultra sound and have cysts in both ovaries. The crampy feeling is the same as when I've ovulated before.

You may have a cyst from ovulation or even conception (I hope so!!!!!) a tubal should show up as quickly.

A tubal pregnancy is not just a little crampy....it is horrible! On the floor, your husband will have to call for you...

I have a great doctor and I would call...it could be PMS.....

If the pain gets worse and you have shoulder pain CALL RIGHT AWAY! That is a calling card!

If the pregnancy is in your tube then your hcg hormone level should still be registering on your home test, provided you are testing after your period's due date, which it sounds like you are.

The hcg level may not be the same as a normal pregnancy, but even a small amount should register.

I think that even if the baby died in your tube that there would still be enough hcg in your system to have registered a positive on your test result.

As far as a rupture, yes! It can happen, but it is very painful and you wouldn't be able to sit here and discuss any of this if this was happening or had happened.

As far as the cysts... They can delay and or emininate your periods all together and really mess your cycle up.

YOU NEED TO SEE A DR. And not take any other advice than that.

Go immediately! Tubals sometimes will not show on a home pregnancy test, because you are not producing the HcG hormones as you would with a uterine pregnancy. Pain indicates a problem, but you could also just be ovulating. Only a sonogram can really tell.

The pregnancy hormone will show up regardless of where the egg is. If it is tubal, yes it will show positive. I would get the Dr. ASAP. to avoid rupture and damage.

A tubal pregnancy is quite serious, I would head to the doctor opposed to posting a question on hear, if your really having doubts. That is not something to be taken lightly.

Yes. Get to the doctor! My sister has had 2 etopic pregnancies. It is dangerous and even life threatening if the tube bursts!

If it was a tubal, you'd know. If you are in that much pain, go to the ER. Other than that, wait a while until you get your period.
