The term blighted ovum refers to a fertilized egg (ovum) that has developed a placenta and membrane but no embryo. It occurs in the first few weeks of pregnancy — often before a woman even knows she's pregnant. An ultrasound will show an empty placenta. It's thought to be due to a chromosomal abnormality.
A blighted ovum will eventually result in miscarriage, although this may not occur for several weeks. Because waiting for a miscarriage can be distressing, a doctor may offer the option of a procedure called D&C (dilation and curettage) to remove the placental tissues.
Most women who have had one miscarriage go on to have successful pregnancies. If you have two consecutive miscarriages in the first trimester, your doctor may recommend testing to try to determine the cause.

The exact cause is still not known. However it may be an chromosomal abnormality with the sperm or ovum.

Dont worry. Get the tests done and GOD willing you will have your own healthy baby.

Your toddlers probable superb. because of the fact the infant grows she gets much less and much less room to pass approximately making her movements much less prononced. it quite is nicely extra good for her to pass now than it became once you first felt her pass. To be on the risk-free section i might make an appointment alongside with your conventional practitioner to substantiate the umbilical cord isn't hurting her. you're real to be concerend and in case you ever are in no way not handle it cuz if some thing is incorrect and you do not something the extra serious would desire to take place. you additionally can bypass to hard artwork and transport and that they are going to computer screen the infant.

I am so so sorry. This sounds like fetal demise. It sounds like your baby has a condition not compatible with life. After 12 weeks the chances of miscarraige drop considerably.
