its my boyfriend who wants to get a divorce. They have been seperated for 6 months now and he wants to get a divorce but is scared for his credit history. There are no children involved or house.

It depends on whether or not you can pay your bills on one income. If you have enough money it doesn't effect your credit at all.

Divorce does not affect your credit rating.
Your credit rating will be affected if you become delinquent once you no longer depend on your partner to help pay your bills.

I don't know for your credit, but your car insurance will go up. I suppose those people believe that being single makes someone drive more recklessly and have more accidents

its always worse for the woman! the credit reporting is still very sexist! so make your you have your own credit history!

if your bills r paid then it doesn't make a difference in the world!...if they r not paid then your both still responsible for them!
