Has anyone heard of www.usapaidsurveys.com? If so, is it a creditable site where I can make money and not lose anything by paying this one-time fee?

The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

I've not heard of this site... but DO check it out with the BBB (better business bureau) first and check for legitimacy, complaints, ratings.. etc..
A lot of at home business requires a start up fee because *(unlike some people here talking about them being scams or don't pay to work for someone etc)....you're not paying to work for someone....you're paying for products, or business tools to get you started.
You've heard of NuSkin, Photomax, Avon, Mary Kay, Amway,..etc correct? Every one of those are reputable... and you can make money. Unfortunately, they're NOT get rick quick over night businesses. You have to be willing to WORK the business. You have to be willing to sacrifice at first a little extra of your time to make it happen. A home based business usually takes from 24-36 months to truely build a significant income.
As for the paid surveys types... I only know of one that I tried some years back but I had to answer lots and lots and lots of surveys before I ever saw a $20 bill even! And I do mean it was a LONG one in a book type of 350 something questions or so. It took me hours to do them and all I got was 20 bucks. So not worth it to me.
If you're looking to increase your income and you're serious about it.. check out http://www.mywayoutonline.com/ access code 108306; This is a new division of a billion-dollar international company that is listed on the New York Stock exchange. If you have a big enough dream, you can achieve anything :)
Good luck on your endeavors!

I am not familiar with the site but my recommendation would be to go somewhere else. There are plenty of other online survey panels you can get involved in that will not charge you a fee at all. I am familiar with this line of business and believe me, anyone trying to charge you up front is trying to scam you out of some of your money.

I don't have any personal experience with that particular site, but I wouldn't sign up for any survey site which asked you to pay to take surveys.

A parenting magazine had an article about these types of sites earlier this year. (I can't remember which parenting magazine because I read several--it may have been Parents but I'm not sure). They said these sites usually mainly sign ou up for other legitimate paid survey sites which you can access free on your own elsewhere. They writer found that even not considering that, the surveys she qualified to take barely paid for the cost of the membership.

There are legitimate survey sites out there, and you can sign up for them for free and make a little money (emphasis on LITTLE...I make about $20 a month...but that's just for a few hours work so its not bad. Its "possible" to make more, but not probable, because you won't qualify for all paid surveys, and the higher paid surveys fill up quick.

I've listed some of the sites I have taken surveys through and actually been paid (or recieved other rewards like gift cards or CDS) on the following, if you are interested:

http://www.windhavenweb.com/surveys

I list how they pay you, what I like and dislike about them, whether they have an affiliate or referral program, etc.

There are others out there. Be careful though, there are also scams. Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.

Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Watch out for sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not agregated) to third parties.

Also just recently came across a good survey ratings site that I've found very helpful:

All they're doing is listing you the websites that offer paid surveys. If you pay them, they are giving you the list of paid survey sites. I think they will give you that, but there's sites you can find paid survey sites for free. On the link, you can choose which paid survey sites you want to join and they have alot. YOu can also complete offers for money.
