I have known quite a few people, (both friends and acquaintances of mine) that I have noticed this behavior.
Here's my question. Why is it that a smokin' hot man will marry a woman that he is not really interested in and is not physically to?
And then alot of times (yes I know this to be true, at least with my guy friends) the man will cheat on his wife with a hot woman, but claim he still loves his wife?
I think if a man loves a woman he won't cheat on her.... So why do these guys marry a woman that they don't love or respect, if they know from the beginng that they are not attracted to/ compatable with the woman they marry? And then use excuses like "well she's a good mom." or "she's a good cook" or "she let's me stay out all night"

I agree with Katie S. Geeks are hot. I like a guy with a personality and brains.
To try to answer your question tho: So called smokin' hot men usually have some kind of vanity quality about them. They probably found someone who is their intellectual equal and fell in love. But since they have a vain streak they cheat because its stroking their ego that they can still get hot women.

Narcissism. They marry one they can dominate and feel superior to. They could not function if they felt the wife was superior to them. They marry someone they believe to be, that they are smarter, better looking, nicer, richer etc. They cheat because they love to be the center of attention. They are all about self. They get a sense of control & power over stepping on people to get their own way. remember Scott Peterson and the famous murder trial. Scott was a typical narcistic personality type.

well a man can cheat and still love his woman. not saying its ok but...look at our relationships with our respective Gods' we love him/her but we "cheat" on him/her every day. i dont think its a matter of love. i just think that our (man's) penis wins over our heart sometimes. as far as being with someone u know u shouldnt be with...thats tough as far a physicall attraction: maybe he just fell in love with her and her body or face didnt matter at the time. but when that initial animal magnitism wears off ( it always does) they start to notice that they arent even really turned on by their women. thats a great question but its like asking why to a question with a million answers so...get ready for some interesting ones!!!

Honey, Men could not do this, without stupid, desperate women who let them do it!! They want the security of a home life, while still going out to do whatever they want. And, it's not just "unattractive" women that end up with these jerks. These are women that need to stand up for themselves!! Kick the bum to the curb!!

if they have a wife thats "a good cook" its probably because their broke as hell and need the women to pay the bill, and if the have a "hot" wife, they probably enjoy trying to get her in bed
