why does it allways have to be all or nothing with them?

It is usually a two way street, with both sides wanting to get credit so they don't work well with the other side.

Right now the unwillingness of Democrats to work with Republicans is because their campaign platform for 2006 is "Republicans are Evil". It is hard to hammer out a compromise when you are denigrating the people you are entrusted to work with.

At this aspect they are both masochistic, inebriated or stupid. perchance all 3 because this crew is literal destroying their GOP. it will be years earlier yet another Republican wins the Presidency. After the obstructionists in Congress, to boot as Boehner, Cantor, McConnell and Norquist no republican has a danger of prevailing seats the subsequent election. at the same time as they placed tax breaks for the wealthy and signal an oath to Grover Norquist as being extra important than their us of a they favor to be voted out. voters are uninterested with the sport playing.

Because of the bullying tactics of Bush and the republicans with this whole "you're either with us or against us" bs. I'm glad the Democrats are not letting themselves be intimidated into following everything the Republicans want. Good for them!

The Republicans won't compromise. They are the ones that hold the government hostage, with majorities in both Houses, most federal judgships and of course, the unyielding, in your face, wrong-headed Decider.

Obstructionist, rhymes with socialist. They have stood in the way of immigration enforcement, state enforcement of immigration law, protecting our borders and many, many others.

This is why Americans believe the dems are anti-american. Obstruction failed the dems in 2004 and it will again.

you could just as easily ask them same of Republicans...if either side was willing to compromise I do not think there would be such derision on both side of the aisle.
