Its actually really sad for all Figo fans, as this tournament is probably the last time we'll see him play in a Portugese shirt. For me this guy ranks somewhere up there between a superb and a Legend. When he was in his prime he was without a doubt the best right winger in the world..Even now, well into his 30s, Figo is still world class and although he has lost his speed, his knowledge of the game and his experience allows him to stamp his authority and control the game.Everytime I ask someone to mention the first thing that comes into their head when I say Portugal is Figo.
bye bye Figo..the LEGEND of PORTUGAL...

Any one who has the knowledge of Figo about the game of soccer should be a legend. He will be greatly missed and should be a legend at least in Portugal, and a real class act around the world.

He is a good player..I'm sure that he will be remembered as a legend, especially in his own country,Portugal because he proves that he is a great captain and he led Portugal to the 4th place in the recent WC,which is something to be proud of for Portugueses and Portugal fans..I'm not really a fan of Portugal, but I cried a lot when Figo announced his retirement..what a great loss to Portugal..I'll miss him,and so do Portgueses and Portugal fans..

DEFINATELY - Luis Figo was an inspiration to his team, a source of hope and brought to the game such skill and eloquence, it was almost poetry. Looking at him play football, looking at how the greatest game in the World should be played is something to be treasured. He will always be an inspiration to his country, Luis Figo, of the Golden Generation. I will really miss him, he has alot to offer and I hope he remains involved somehow in the game we all love - FOOTBALL.

He will surely be remebered as a legend in Portugal and in other countries, he will be remebered if a little extra information is given on him e.g. "The Portugese captain who led Portugal to semifinals of the 2006 World Cup".
