I won’t reveal his religion will only say he’s NOT a Christian. Wife has always clearly told husband from 1st meeting that she has a loving relationship with God without questionable, 1,000+ yr old books, etc. Tho his faith says stay within your religion he thought she wld convert. She has NEVER drank but after 5 yrs of marriage she and a friend join a wine appreciation club. He goes ballistic, says she will “burn in hell” for drinking alcohol. He demands she quit the group and so, she does. She still has wine about once a week but not where he would see/know. He finds out during a religious holiday that lasts for several weeks. They have custody of his 5 kids from his prior marriage and she’s a housewife. He tells her that he can no never give her money / let her use the car for his kids or herself b/c she “might buy wine and that’s against my religion”. She’s like “Huh?” Please tell who is being dogged in this situation, why and what should the dogged party do?

Okay, first of all: it was pretty easy to figure out what religion this guy is. I appreciate your trying to be discreet, but I only know of one that holds that kind of attitude.

Now: He married her because he thought she would convert? Then that marriage was a mistake from the very beginning. If she has no intention of sharing his devotion, she needs to get out now, because obviously his plan is to keep grinding on her until she either leaves or cracks.

He muslim and she's Christian. A match made in hell.
(The burn in hell for alcohol is the sign he's a muzzie..)

. Religious practices regarding alcohol for the muslim faith are pretty clear.
Alcohol of it's self is innocuous in excess it can be a problem with any relationship. Even a sip of communion wine for a muslim in blasphemis.

She needs to leave and get her own life, get a protection order on him or die as the result of the insanity of his religious dogma.

Religious differences because of two different religions not just denominations or sects is the problem here.

She ought to be very scared because of the "control" or attempts at control by him. I'd ask she not walk away but run and run fast.
Change cities and name. He is a danger.

You are in the right for behaving in accordance with your beliefs, and he is right for doing likewise. What he should do is pray for you. What you should do is stop being a housewife. Get a job so you can have money for transportation of your own. Let your husband pay for his kids' childcare out of his paycheck, since he is forcing your hand. Be sure to tell him a week or two in advance of starting your job so that he has time to prepare.

Let me guess . . . he's Muslim. I'm sad for you.

Jesus drank wine and it is used in religious ceremonies. Bible says to use all things in moderation. I think she should get a good attorney, divorce his sorry a s s, change the locks on the house and put a lojak on the car.

he is, but also, is the wine worth loosing a marriage over.l'm not saying she's wrong but she is adding to it. I believe in god, not religions.if he is using religion to put down his laws then he's wrong.
