Yes, and there is also nude ballet too, which is more fun.

I'm over 40 years old, taking my first beginning ballet class at my loal university. I'm not the oldest student in the class, either. I'm definately not the youngest. The class has 13 women and 3 men.
The men say their majors are Nursing, Business and Dance/Music.
All the ballet performances I've seen were adult performances, so my conclusion is yes, there is such a thing as adult ballet.

Yes. Most ballet studios offer open adult classes sometimes even at different levels. I am a professional ballet dancer and have taken many open adult classes. There are people of all levels who do it for exercise and fun because it is great for your body and spirit. I recommend it.

Of course. Check with any ballet school, dance studio or local Parks and Recreation Department, YMCA, Fitness center, drama school. It is great fun and great exercise. If you can, find a class with live music.

I would think there are. Maybe you could take up yoga or pilates as an alternative.
Ask at a ballet school. You should find one in the phone book.
