You know, I never thought that Queen could go on without Freddie Mercury....

Paul Rodgers recently filled in on a Tour. They dubbed themselves "Queen featuring Paul Rodgers". I wouldn't try comparing Rodgers to Mercury. On top of that - no bass work by John Deacon. However, I still love Brian May and Roger Taylor. To get a chance to see them do Queen songs - I'll take it. I know its not Mercury, but its the closest that one will get today.

I loved them been a fan since seeing them as a support band for Mott the hoople in about 1974 or so! The crowning glory came when I managed to see them three nights running at Wembley in 1986 wow what a show ! but sadly it did not go on and as far as I am concerned the crown should have been buried or cremated on top of Freddies head were it belongs you cannot replace a legend RIP freddie in his own words " gay as a daffodil dahling" but what the hell he enjoyed his life and gave loads of people pleasure through his performance ! They will always be remembered for waking up live aid and now they should stop because without " F" they are just flogging a dead horse and they have a catalogue of great rock songs that most bands would be proud of so please stop now before it starts getting emmbarasing you have nothing to prove you were the best show in the world but without freddie the show cant go on!

Queen was one of the greatest bands around when Freddie was with us. Bohemian Rhapsody still ranks up there with me as one of the best rock pieces ever composed.

Great band! Their hits will stand the test of time a lot better than many of today's artists. Without Freddie, they are only a shadow of what they used to be.

Well he was the ultimate show man, no one can replace Freddie, poor Paul Rodgers, because he is excellent in his own right, but he ain't Freddie.
Give his other bands a chance though, Bad Company were great!

I love Queen and you're right it's not the same without Freddie. I've introduced my 15 month old niece to their music, she loves it.
