Dodger if you mean the white house as in Washington DC then i hope someone will hear you out and do so. I only asked because my own house is known as the white house (It's not in Washington DC, but in Ireland and it's only a cottage LOL) And i can promise you that i always turn the lights out when i go out!

that originated from a headline in england that changed instantly how people voted which was worrying. It was 'can the last person to leave the country please turn out the lights'. it meant that jobs were being lost and england was on a decline. that is where the original quote is from.
