I need to use them later in the year for a craft project but need them shiny and smooth, how do I stop them going all wrinkly?

I would go for the soaking in vinegar method, followed by a coat of clear nail polish to seal it all in.

I would try many different ways & hope one of them works!
The slow bake in the oven.
Bees wax
Leave in oil
Or go and let some bog land, it would seem everything stays intact in bogs!!!

i tried everything in my days! soaking in vinegar and freezing them.

try using some bag balm that might work.
