Wrong at high school age. Too much close contact while hormones are raging. As adults if a woman wants to step into a wrestling ring against a man then fine they both will get what they deserve. Either the guy gets humiliated or the woman gets beat and groped in the process.

In my mind either way it's a lose lose proposition.

had it been allowed- I would have taken up wrestling. Instead, I was a swimmer as I got to hang with chicks in bathing suits, and then ran cross country- as those girls had the best legs.

but I guess for all those reasons- no. Methinks that's a good sport to have the gender's separated. Too many teenage hormones and possible indescretions to have them compete comfortably. Not least of which is having some of the guys lose to some of the girls every now and then. It would just kill the fragile male ego.

Since wrestling is a very close contact sport I don't think the schools would approve. Just think how embarrassing it would be for the guy if he was beat by a chick or worse yet what if he got an erection. It would be hilarious to us but not to the guy!

I don't see the harm in it. I was on the wrestling team and a girl competed in the lightest weight class against our school. She beat one of our guys.

People should focus less on gender in athletics.

As long as she has the weight class then no problem. If a man has a problem losing to a woman then I suggest he get some better skills so he doesn't lose. People need to get with the times and stop being so close minded.

I agree with you. If a female wants to try out and if she is good enough to make the team, then it would certainly seem like she ought to be able to participate. Ability should be the determining factor, not gender.

Yes they should. Since there are weght classes it is very fair. I wreslted for five years (6th -10th) in the 103 and 119 weight class. I won some and loss some. It is no advantage to men. I am definately stronger than some!!

Absolutely not. The wrestling holds are inappropriate for co-ed wrestling.

In some cases yes but men are physically stronger than women and it would not be a fair match. Good for you that you can compete against the boys.

No. Should the guys be able to play on the girls teams?
