There is absolutely no need for any worries. I first visited sharm back in 1998. I fell in love with Sharm and I visit at least once a year.

Sharm is an amazing resort. There is something for everyone so there isn't a boring moment. It is very safe so do not worry about any terrorist attacks, theft etc.

Best place on this planet for diving & snorkelling. The nightlife makes Ibiza look small. All kinds of food from Mc Donald's to local food, sea food, chinese you name it, it is there.

Hilton Sharks bay is a good hotel, the only problem is that it is a bit far from Naema bay where all the action is. You will need to take a taxi several times a day but that is no big deal since it is 10 minutes away from Naema Bay.

Most people go for bottled water, I my self have had no problems with the tap water so I leave that up to you.

Well, there is nothing to worry about or fear. I am sure you are going to have a blast there.

enjoy

I was in Sharm this last summer.

Check out the Sonesta Hotel on Ne3ma Bay in Sharm El-Sheikh. That's where I stayed several times. It's on the "quiet" side of the bay.

The JolieVille is also a nice place to stay at... and it's closer to town. You can walk to the shopping/restaurant area from an secure doorway at the side of the hotel.

Avoid hotels that are not on Ne3ma Bay. They may be cheap, but you may not enjoy the beautiful bay as much.

I am from Egypt I have been going to Sharm when there was only 1 hotel there. Hilton is a great hotel, I tend to prefer Movenpick, but make sure you request a room closer to the beach it may be more expensive but trust me it will be worth it. Sharm isn't really dangerous, yeah there are problems everynow and again, but the security there is tight Unfortunatley nowhere is 100% safe now. Dont worry too much about what you eat either, sharm is focused on tourists so everything has to be kept up to a certain standard

Yes - just go and enjoy it. Hilton Sharks Bay very popular hotel with Brits. It is very close to airport but dont worry about noise as you dont get any. Be prepared to be ill. Its Egyptian law but there is a good pharmacy outside the hotel. Now is an excellent time to go. I worked there for 3 years and still own an apartment in Sharm. And have a half Egyptian baby, but thats a story for another day....

decent clothing is acceptable, holding hands/kissing a no no. I went to Hurghada, south of sharm in September and it was fine. If you ignore beggars, shop people etc they will not hassle you. just avoid eye contact. they are very friendly and it is their custom to offer you a drink, tea ,coke etc in nearly every shop. just their way of being hospitable. NO DRUGS!!!!! do not attempt to get any. Be careful of wearing LOADS of jewelry as in any foreign country. Enjoy and have a great time.

visit expedia and choose sharm el shrikh and then you will be able to analyze prices on line or call the hotel you want promptly in case you get the phone no. on line also you could ask the Egyptian vacationer place of work( get the no. from Egyptian Embassy) and they could help you.

Don't drink the water. Not even ice cubes. Don't eat anything you are not 100% certain is safe to eat.
It is really easy to get food poisoning and diarrhoea in Egypt.
