Watch this video. It's by a Canadian comedian named Rick Mercer. It is hillarious.
He basically asks Americans about Canadians, and we Canucks all laugh at the answers.

My mom was born in Canada and I have both a Canadian and US passport. I grew up in the U.S. but went to University in Canada.

Generally, Americans don't think much about Canada or Canadians. Canada doesn't register on the radar. If Americans do think about Canadians, they are known to be polite.

Canadians of course are obsessed with Americans. They define themselves as "not being American". They think Americans are often arrogant.

Americans are pretty much like us, but they seem a little more political and intent on classifying people into certain groups and defining them using the stereotypes associated with those groups! The problem with this, is that it makes an easy target for those with a dislike (hate) for a certain type of person, whether it be race, religion, politics, etc...

I have a fear of being classified as anything other than a person or a Canadian! lol Is there a phobia named for that?

My opinion is that Americans think that we want to be like them and copy everything they do! This is not the case and since we are such close neighbours, it stands to reason that certain aspects of our lives would be shared and/or identical!

It's ironic, Americans think we covet their life and we strive to dispel the belief that we do!

The other misconception is that one depends solely on the other, when the truth is that we trade freely across the border with each country having a different set of commodities. We have things they want and they have things we want. Sounds like a good deal, if you ask me! (As long as business is conducted fairly!)

collectively as Canada is the main professional-American united states of america interior the international, because of the fact it rather is a unfastened united states of america, with extra valuable freedom of speech than the united states of a, each and every physique is entitled to hold their very own comments there. and a great style of Canadians are of the sensation the united states of a made a extensive mistake electing white trash for President, trash who began an pointless war and who's destroying the cost of the U. S. dollar. And who raided the treasury to toughen his friends. even nonetheless, that would not end Canadians being the extensive type one united states of america for travellers to the united states of a, and protecting a commerce nicely worth virtually $2,000,000,000 q day between the countries. And think of that with Canada being the main professional-united states of america rustic interior the international, what does that say for the opinion of all the different countries.

American Answer: "What are Canadians?". The most that the average American knows about canadians is that they say "ey" alot and that they have square wheels on their cars and there is only one road in Canada. So to summarize it, we only know as much as we see on South Park.

For the conversations i've had with Canadians, its that they like us, but they think we are very arrogant.

Every Canadian I've ever met has been awesome! They have all been very personable and easy to talk to. I would love to take a trip to Canada one day. Their people seem extremely kind and helpful. I hope they feel the same way about us.
