In high school, I did a combination of starving myself, yogaing, and working out a lot. There were multiple motivating factors involved (obviously, as with most things), but what got me to pull myself out was that my period stopped. After a few months of that, I went to a nutritionist who put me on a high protein diet. She told me that muscle also weighs more than fat, so even if I ate I wouldn't have to necessarily gain so many inches if I worked out because the muscle will help bring my weight up. I think she was just trying to help me accept that I needed to gain weight. Then I more or less stuffed myself with protein even when there was nothing I wanted to do less than gain weight. And everytime I went on the scale, I cried, but I kept up with it because I was working toward a bigger goal. Good luck.
