Yes they do. When we had more income and both my wife and I were working we had someone come in and do a major tidy every Friday.
We found her locally though, a friend if a friend.
I think that's the best way to do it too, then you have some sort of come back if anything goes wrong. Which hopefully it won't because your friend has recommended them!

Save money and do it yourself.....every time you walk through a room, pick up the major stuff. By doing this everytime you will do it out of habit eventually, and your house will always be tidy! Or every night before bed, take five minutes to pick up - this will help tremendously, and save you money!

Put a card in the local shop explaining exactly what you want ' part-time house tidier'.
I'm positive you will get a response from an unlikely source!
You will attract schoolkids, college students looking for pocket-money / beer money!
You will be better off stating a maturer person would be appreciated.

Just employ a cleaner?!
When you meet / interview them, explain what your requirements are. I don't imagine they'll charge any more per hour for tidying rather than vacuuming etc.

I have been doing it for years - following the kids around and putting their things away. Never knew I could get paid for it though. I guess you are too far away but I might just try advertising locally.
Thanks for the idea.

Put an ad in the paper for someone to do "light" housekeeping. That should do the trick!

I think you need to look for de-cluttering organisations

Are two such types - there are probably far more :)
