i have a cotton candy machine which i will bring it with me to Singapore. it runs at 120voltage, 60 hertz and 400watt.

how can i make it work in singapore? do i need to purchase a step up transformer?

Yes, you need a transformer. It would be a step-down transformer (to change 240 volt current to 120 volts). However, don't worry about calling it step-up or step-down, just get a transformer that converts 240 to 120 (or it might be labeled 220-to-110).

Make sure the transformer can handle 400 watts of power. That's a relatively high number, and it may be more than some travel transformers can handle.

By the way, they have plenty of cotton candy in Singapore, so you may not need to take your own machine along. Suit yourself.

Radio Shak has a converter pack for ya with 4 differant conveters at I think we paid $25. Ask the salesman and they'll tell you whats best to use. Have a Fluffy time!

Check the back of it, some have a conversion built in, you may just need to flip a switch.
