Is coffee a laxative?
“It’s also good to know that coffee can sometimes act as a laxative, which the body can become dependent upon because the caffeine relaxes the smooth muscle in the colon.”

No coffee is not a laxative but makes one sleep or hyper. Perhaps that is how it works on you. It may be food or medicine that can cause it work this way.

No, it is a stimulant, and it stimulates your intestines to squeeze. This is why it seems to have laxative effects.

I would agree, although I don't have any scientific data to back it up. Cigarettes also seem to have the same effect.
