There is no such thing as coincidence ~ it is all a master plan we are not privileged to know, till we die that is. And in your particular story I'm not sure even qualifies for coincidence in the meaning of the word. A coincidence might be not have seeing a friend in decades and then you see him/her on your annual vacation at the incredibly populated Disney world etc.

As you know, your beer guy and I are "tight" buds. I have the true scoop. He was so drunk he THOUGHT his car was being reposessed. In all honesty........he had four cases of beer in his back seat so I stole his car. Now don't panic. The beer will be delivered to your house tonight.......and the car returned to him shortly after. The things I do for ten points!

Well have you had enough extra cash to make a car payment or 2 from the money you saved by not going?

I not usually a proponent of drinking. I don’t, generally speaking, condone the barfly. That said, however, if a man’s livelihood depends on your individual patronage, then by all means you need to go and provide him sustenance while he provides you service.
Eat, drink, and be merry so that tomorrow he may drive.

Shame on you! Home drinking is the leading cause of us bar owners going broke... I just saw your page, and all the sudden I'm craving a beer from hooters...

No I don't think that had anything to do with you not going to the bar in a month. He's probably just fallen on hard times.

I am pretty sure that it's your fault. My favorite bartender told me that if I stopped coming in that his daughter would have to drop out of college. Something about trickle down economics, I don't understand because I usually chug my beers.

No coincidence there. When I quit drinking, Anheuser-Busch had to lay off a shift.
