If you're talking about those scratch card ones where you always get three-in-a-row no matter how hard you try not to and then have to dial an 090 number at £1.50 a minute just to get a "verification number", all you're ever going to "win" are some holiday vouchers which by the time you've finished will cost you more than if you booked the holiday yourself in the first place. (Whew!!!! - gap for breath!!!!)
Or, to put it another way, THERE SURE IS A CATCH !!! Any other time it/they would be called a SCAM !!!

Hi >
The catch is the odds.
In my humble opinion, never use, for example, a telephone thing starting with 090 **** or 091****.
Anywhere from 50p to £1 per minute, of which around 70% goes to the organiser. They are a rip-off.
Sure, set one up & see. If you get 10,000 responses, you can give away a cheap car & be in profit.
Someone has to win, or it would be fraudelent behaviour, but
beware of what is fringing on a scam.
Postal rubbish included.

Don't touch the items, and you can't lose.

I've used megaraffle too, sure you pay, but you can enter a draw more than once and make the odds work if your favour - they say in terms and conditions, they don't create spam or sell to third party info. not only that I think if you pay up front you don't get stung when you win your prize - those are just my thoughts

there's a new one called megaraffle, which you pay for - but you can see what your odds are - cool prizes! instant win rang me the other day to say I had one a holiday - then i had to fork out £60, they said for admin and airport tax, oh and I'll have to go to an exhibtion, where they'll no doubt try sell timeshare

Yeah, all well and good, there are winners but the drawback is you get bombarded with junk mail from them and 3rd parties!
3rd party emails, impossible to unsubscribe etc.
I avoid them like the plague.
