Why do Ducati insist on calling their engines"V twins",when in fact to a certain degree(pardon the pun)they are in fact "L twins"---Think about it guys,measure the angle.A pear shaped "V"methinks!

Two identical Cyls configured in a 90 degree V arrangment. L twin not just a wide V But the BMW bike is horizonally opposed 180 degree V or I or what the heck!

Idiots always want to bring this up. The standard designation for any motor thats shaped in a Vee no matter if its 45/60/90/120 or anything in between is considered a V and if a twin a V twin. This is just another ducati elitist thing from the posing crowd, true Duc riders no its a bunch of crap.

It does not mater what the degree is, it is still a V twin ! Don't be such a dumb f*ck !

I think if you look at the letter "L" you will notice that the vertical line is longer than the horizontal line

Well - to be really picky...

To resemble a capital 'L' , one cylinder would have to be marginally shorter than the other, so it must be a 'V'
