Yes it can as long as you start again. The problem is you all ready know all about each other and you have broken up before, so there are issues.
Relate is fantastic and can really help, take things slowly and good luck.

to be honest im not married but ive seen a lot of relationships break up and make up...if youre asking our opinion its great but if youre going to decide on this then it isn't .....
if youre getting back together obviosuly there is a connection between both of you right .... what i would suggest is you would never know until youd try .... what have you got to lose try again if you don't want your married life ending.... nothing is impossible just go for it if you feel the same way.... just make sure you both would go over the things that went wrong in the past and were the cause of all of this ... it would help you to avoid getting into the same situations again and making those small silly mistakes again this time.... this in return would give both of you the peace of mind you both wanted from each other with the bonus prize of each others love, care, support of lifetime...
i wish you very best of luck... take care and think about what ive just said.

No it wont you are setting yourself up for disaster. People can not let things go what happened in your past will always be there no matter how hard you try to get past it, its there like a big elephant int he room. You were seperated for a reason remember that, also the past has a way of repeating it self, watch your back sister.

It all depends on How much water as gone under the bridge as they say and the reasons for your parting in the first place. A relative of mine was split from her husband for 20years then they got back together and had a child late in life and they are still together and very happy.

Anything is possible. My fiance and I broke up after being together 7 years. We broke up for 2 years and we have now gotten back together. Things couldn't be better and we are going on 2 years of happiness. Time apart is good, helps you heal the heartbreak, helps you learn about yourself and your mate. See what went wrong and change those things. Try it - it may work. Be optimistic, don't think negative.

It could be 1.5 years is not a long time but you both may have changed, but you could run in to the same problems or new different problems. Do things together and dont stop being on your honeymoon.

Remind yourself of all the reasons why things didn't work to begin with....why did you leave (or why did he)? I've been separated for over two years (in the process of divorce) and I KNOW I couldn't go back to him. I left for the kids' sake cause he and I just argued too much. If you think you've both changed (for the good) enough to be willing to try anything to make your marriage work again, the go for it! Like I said, remember why you got separated...is it worth going back to try and salvage this relationship or was it a dead end road a long time ago?

if both of you want it sure. i would think that in the 1.5 years you have been apart you had time to think things through and fix what was wrong in first place. both of you should of had time to grow and learn about yourselves. Just don't repeat same mistakes and fall back into old routine and expect everything to be the way it was.Look at it like a brand new relationship.

Yes it can work, but only if both of you can wipe the slate clean and get start off as though it were a new relationship. There is obviously something between you, and as long as you avoid the temptation to try to pick up where you left off there's no reason why it shouldn't work.

as many people have said, make sure that any problems that caused the breakup are resolved!!!. I too tried it with my ex and everytime there was an inch of hostility in the air, those came out and off we went. Those problems will always be on both parties minds and will cause tension in every area of the relationship
