Raw onions are supposed to help. I drink lots of thyme tea when I have a bad cough. Let it infuse for 15 minutes. Drink as much as possible. Oranges are really bad when you cough so are really cold food such as ice cream.

Avoid dairy and red meat.

Good old chicken soup is great, but don't use canned or boullion as these have msg in them.

The best, easiest fresh chicken soup is to get some water boiling, drop in some chopped fresh onions, garlic, rosemary, sea salt, carrots, and celery. Add a couple tablespoons of tomato sauce, a few skinless chicken thighs (the thighs have the most fat in the meat and thus the most chicken flavor, taking the skin off eliminates extra fat), and some rice if you like. Let it cook until the meat and rice are cooked and the carrots are tender. Excellent . . .

A, Salmon fillet, mix about a teaspoon of chopped garlic and a teaspoon of chopped ginger together. Drizzle about 1 teaspoon of rapeseed oil, or sunflower oil over the salmon and spread the garlic and ginger on top of the salmon. Place in a very hot oven about 230 degrees C for about 10 minutes depending on the size of fillet.

Huh? Like bronchitis? I would stay away from dairy products as it creates more thick mucus. Drink plenty of water and real juices to thin it out so you can cough it up and out.

If you mean something else, then you need to post more details.
