I would own a dragon. i would fly on it's back, and it can protect me.

A fairy for me! They are pretty! The can fly, do magic, sing and dance. They are small, so you could keep them in a small area of the house without anyone knowing that you had them. And I could really use some pixie dust on occasion!

Know it's been said, but a unicorn. Is there anything more beautiful? A representation of absolute purity. The blood has healing powers that will curse you if used. I love this about unicorns because as something that is completely pure, using it's powers for selfishness will only bring about destruction. It is the same with the purity in our own lives; the only thing about unicorns though, is that they themselves can never be tainted.
They are just absolutely gorgeous and magnificent creatures.

I don't believe anyone can own such powerful creatures :-), but in the event that I could coexist with one who chose to coexist with me, definitely Pegasus!
p.s. As all the stories about selkies reveal, one cannot 'own' a selkie. One can only trap one. :-) What magnificent beings they are!

You have way too many people submitting answers, and I am jsut going to add to the bunch. I would have a phoenix, so it would never die, its tears would heal my firends and I, and it could fly me around.
