the stain has been in the rug for 6 months or so. ive even tried vinegar

Have you tried a mix of Oxyclean and water? My cousin swears by this stuff, she uses it on EVERYTHING.
If that dosent work I would talk to a professional rug cleaner to see if they think they can get it out.

You might try one or both below.. whatever you do NEVER waste your money on any... ANY of that OXICLEAN JUNK

Dip a white cloth into a beaten egg yolk and rub the yolk into the stain. Then rinse with clear water.

Work denatured alcohol into the stain, then rinse with water.
Apply a solution of 1/2 teaspoon mild detergent in a pint of water. Blot with a white towel. If the stain remains, apply a 50-50 solution of water and white vinegar and blot.

Have you tried hydrogen peroxide? Try dabbing at the stain with a white towel dipped in the peroxide. It should at least lighten the stain and may remove it completely. Good luck.

try a product called "spot shot" it works really good. you find it by the spray carpet cleaners in the store.
