of cheating... ID 'nerdterminator619' seems to have got all its 80 + 'best answers' exclusively from IDs:
tony b
chefjordan
billaden
assas s

Heres the kicker, all of the 'questions' are cloned from earlier posted questions - without alteration and ALL of the best answers are simply nerdterminator writing 'only god knows'.

This practice of cheating is ruining this forum. Unless YOU stand up like me and complain about it, ultimately this community will destroy itself.

But with respect, that is where you are wrong if you dismiss cheating as 'only fun'. A lot of people here spend a lot of their time out trying to help others. Cheating is a slap in the face to all genuine people here. If it is allowed to continue, there will be more and more 'silly questions' posted here. no one will take the forum seriously. Tell someone with cancer who uses this forum for real information, that its 'only fun'. Yes it can be fun, but that is not all this forum is or can be.

'Zulu9' you can start to get used to being ignored. If you look at the 'leaderboard' there are probably fewer than 5,000 regular participants here. Contrary to what you may think - this remains a relatively small community and the fact that you cheat will become widely known. I dont have a 'personal problem' with you at all. I just care about Yahoo answers and its future. I have been here much longer than the average user. The problem is that people who abuse this forum, like you, are steadily dragging it down.

I have a different outlook than you do. I think this simply gives everyone an opportunity to view the cheating and discuss it. After all, why is it that they want the points so badly? I want the points to show that I participated, not that I just cheated, so who cares? If they ever "win" anything everyone will be able to see they really are not winners.

Blimey you don't have any friends do you.. the point is that no matter what you post you get some abusive or stupid answers.. i'm still getting abusive emails from a racist that i had a go at 4 nights ago. so what, thats life honey, you take your serious answers and you ignore the rest and you let everyone else have a life, if you don't like the stupid questions don't answer them, move on.. get a life
you don't win anything and the fact this bothers you so much means you obviously want the points more than anyone..

I actually feel sorry for those folks that have the need to win useless points. I mean if these point were worth $$$ I'd raise a stink but if some schmuck feels the need to cheat the system just get some worthless points they must lead a pretty pitiful life already.

I agree with you, it can spoil the enjoyment of games, even when they are just played for fun, when people cheat.

Fortunately I don't think the dynamics of Yahoo Answers is such that the few who obtain a perverse pleasure from doing it will spoil Yahoo Answers although I am grateful to people who name and shame such people and if possible report them. Personally I can't think of a more mind numbing occupation than accumulating points in that way.

It's really not that serious. Just have fun! That's what this is all about. I have fun helping people, I don't have to go check out everyone's profile to see how they're getting the most points. It isn't important.

Interesting point, which I can see very little being done about. These maybe same people that talk on cell phone while playing cards or cheat while playing solitaire. In my opinion it's their loss.

who cares about the points?

this community is not going to 'destroy itself' - that's ridiculous. what on earth could actually happen????
