Well first of all you shouldn't HATE them for hitting on you, your probably cute and you SHOULD be flattered. The homosexual men that you are encountering are paying you a compliment by trying to take you out, you must seem nice and open-minded. You should be on top of the world that someone thinks your nice enough to be their guy. I think you may be getting caught up in the fact that, that's not your sexual orientation, but PLEASE try and be patient with this guys, THEY MEAN YOU NO HARM! Just politely tell them you are not interested, YOU DON'T HAVE TO SCREAM 'I"M NOT GAY DAMMIT", thats your business about your sexual orientation. Take these advances as compliments and keep stepping, you sexy thing you! Oh yeah if a gay is persistent after you politely tell him NO, once or even several times, at this point you have the option of getting rude and saying any nasty thing that comes to mind. Same rule applies to girls and persistent guys trying to pick them up, once I tell you NO, second time I tell you I'm taken, and third time they try and pick you up, you then have the right to curse them out and tell them to leave you the f u c k alone. Hope this helps.....handsome.

I call it "not interested." Some guys can't take no for an answer, straight or gay...and it is annoying, that is for sure.
This has nothing to do with homophobia or anything else except NOT INTERESTED...At least, you get something out of it...you have learned what women go through on a daily basis! I am Gay and I get annoyed when a simple, "Thanks, but no thanks" isn't enough. WE have all had this happen, we all have a type, and most of us don't mess around with someone who does't fit the bill. No big deal. ON the other hand, it can get embarrassing when someone insists that you should go out with them...women or men. Sort of rude behavior, isn't it?

Ok, first off this sounds a tad suspicious, but I will answer anyway. Look, what WORD are you looking for F off, what? It seems to me that either your quite cute and thus you should, as others have pointed out, say thanks but no thanks. Courtesy and politeness are always the best measure of a man. Secondly, from your question, I get the sense that what your saying is AFTER you have told them your not gay, they continue. If this is so, simply be more firm in your tone and body language and repeat that you are not interested. If after that it continues, just mention something about it to the bartender. There's never any reason to be insulting or violent with someone who's pushy. I myself have had my share of women try to pick me up and I'm gay, but I just brush it off.
Now, this is important, if touching is involved, that can be construed as harassment or even assault, report it to the staff of the bar or coffee shop or whatever place you're in. No one should be subjected to boorish behavior by anyone.
That's all I can offer, hopefully it helps.

If they keep trying to pick you up after you've made it clear that your not interested. Then they are just not great people but be patient with the guys who arent aware that your not gay.
I've also found "no" or "not interested" usually work quite well to run guys off.

"no"
I would think a simple no would suffice. Like any other amorous attention from someone you don't want. We're not a separate species. And just like a guy trying to pick up a girl or vice versa, no should be enough. Otherwise, they're not being "a gay" bt an ***. Other suggestions. "Thanks but no thanks." "Uhm, no I don't like guys." "Go away." I'm not a big fan of girls hitting on me but I don't have to come up with a word to tell them no.

You've got the wrong mind set.
Be FLATTERED that you are found attractive, not insulted because of who finds you attractive.
Just say: "Thanks, but I'm straight" and leave it at that.
Don't hate, APPRECIATE!
Hey, it's not like everyone walks around with placards saying "I'm straight" Or "I'm gay"
Only through trial and error do we learn.
So, appreciate the compliment that they find you attractive, and just let it be! Be happy, don't be angry.
Smile, not scuffle!
Look, we all know that our own genders are more picky towards outward appearance and personality than the opposite gender is. Men are more competitive with other males, females are competitive with other females. If another male finds you attractive, then you've succeded in your goal. You've made yourself to be more attractive than other males.
It's FLATTERY not INSULTING.
And you never know, you might actually find a friend even if you never want to sleep with them. Friends are a rare find and good to have around!

its terrible when a straight guy cant take it as a complement. i used to know some straight guys who went to the bars and loved having the gay guys teling them how attractive they were . it was a huge eog boost for them . they figured that if the gay guys liked them , then the girls definatly would . and most gay men have pretty good taste!!!!!

Sounds like you're quite literally afraid; I'd stick with homophobic. If it bothers you any more than a female doing the same thing would, that would make you homophobic.

I wouldn't call it anything, just say thank you, but your not gay and they should leave you alone, and if they don't then ignore them, why don't you just take it as a compliment if you constantly get hit on, it wouldn't be any different if the gender that you wanted was hitting on you hard like this

It seems rather odd that gay people would be trying to pick you up if you didn't come off as REALLY gay yourself. Stop swishing around little boy.
