I have had a contract with Vodafone for 7 yrs, and am getting a bit tired with them. My last phone was Sony Ericcson P910. Liked it but in true honesty did not use it to its true business potential as im not really a business man. I know this is a little like asking the length of a piece of string question, i suppose im just looking for something a bit fresher and funkier and would be interested to see what you have to say about your own mobile phone (if you really think its cool) Cheers.

The Samsung D900 is the best phone out atm super thin, 3 megapixel camera and looks amazing, and its a samsung so it wont break in 2 secs (like LG), but there is a new phone, cant remeber the make or number which is kinda annoying but you can store whole dvd's on the memory card and the screen is as sharp as a psp screen, a bit of reasurch will find it sorry i cant be anymore help.

I just upgraded to a PPC 6700 and I really enjoy it. It is a "smart phone", so it may be too close to the Sony Ericcson for your taste.

What I like:
1. WiFi - there are hotspots everywhere
2. 1.3 megapixal camera - not great but OK - can do movies
3. Hidden keyboard - screen switches to landscape automatically when using the keyboard
4. Syncs painlessly with everything in Outlook

What I don't like:
1. Expensive
2. About the size of a deck of cards

I have a Nokia 6230, provided for me by my job. It's a good phone, I really like Nokia units; I would rather have the N91 though, massive storage for mp3, and it's rather handsome looking!

Work also provide me with another phone, this is a Motorola RZR. It's very cool looking, I think, and I love the way it's a bit wider and longer, but very very slim. But like the other person said, the big screen is vulnerable to fingerprints and worse! It came with iTunes software, which I'm not keen on, but I did load some language CDs onto the phone - but you have to use a wired earplug which is a pain.

The Nokia you can use a bluetooth headset to listen to music. The RZR you can only use the bluetooth for calls.

Of course the Nokia has a radio too, which is handy.

I have a Nokia 6230 and luv it. I have just swtiched from vodafone to talk talk, so much cheaper. I did a lot of research on different networks to see which 1 had the best deal and i chose talk talk.

I have a Motorola Razr V3, and I think it sucks. Not only is it hard to get it do some things, but it is a magnet for fingerprints on the case, on the screens, and on the keyboard.

I've got a black W900i which is pretty decent in most respects, getting an N73 on sunday so I can get emails on my phone.

Just read a press release for the N95, 5 megapixel! looks immense, check it out:

have one that has all the latest gedgets like recorder, camera, radio, and voicemail. it makes it a lot easier to upgrade next time u upgrade. plus they cost more so if you want to sell it 2nd hand u get more money! use a t-mobile one with contract for £13.99 a month.
