There seems to be place in the world that are bearers of unusual powers. I happen to live near one that is called the Mystery Spot. There balls will roll up hill, people taller than yourself can appear shorter, trees grow in a spiral and you will not find any birds in the area. People visiting this site have had varying reactions as well such as feeling dizzy and sick, and passing out. Recently on the coast of Florida a circular structure has been unearthed that some believe is in direct line with Stonehinge.

Oh, you must must must read Dion Fortune's Glastonbury: Avalon of the Heart--she talks a good bit about them. (Also Phil Rickman's The Chalice, a novel placed in Glastonbury written much later with many references to Fortune's work and quite a bit of practical stuff about ley lines.)

the ancients often built structures on ley lines or paths of energy also called dragon current...often architectural structures in ancient Europe such as castles and churches were constructed and or erected in concordance with these ley lines...sometimes ants butterfly's birds etc..also recognized these energy fields...sometimes stone structures were built to contain or channel these energy fields..many Buddhist temple structures also follow similar concepts of constructing buildings and temple in accordance with natural energy...some believe these ancient structures and stone configurations served as portals into other planes...other worlds..astral windows or doorways if you will...

Yep, used to be fascinated when I was younger...now I know better :) and believe me, it's a pile of cr*p, just wishful thinking. Same as any ideas about there being any sort of spiritual "energy" inherent in the earth and its inhabitants. The only energy we have within us is kinetic, potential, and electrical if you're unfortunate enough to get struck by lightning :P
