When your begin to get your period, you can be irregular. You can sometimes be VERY irregular. Even so, 3-5 months seems a little long. You would do well to see your own doctor and discuss it with him/her. It might be an extreme case of what normally happens, or there might be something else going on.

Sometimes when you're just starting you'll be irregular for a while. Your hormones are still straightening themselves out and it takes a while. And, you'd better not be having sex at 13, or intimate hugging either, hon. Time enough for that later.
I suspect it's not the vitamins you're taking that might affect your period, but your diet. If you're on such an extreme veg diet that your hair is falling out, something's wrong. If your doctor doesn't have the sense to see that, and many don't, find out if your school has a nurse or nutritionist who can tell you a healthier way to eat. A person of your age is still growing and you need some healthy fats in your diet. If your calorie intake falls below a certain point, your period can stop. I've yet to meet a vegetarian, and I know quite a few, who is any healthier than anyone else, and many who aren't as healthy.
Good luck, hon. (((Hugs)))

Your period, at the beginning will sometimes skip months before it starts being regular. Not sure if the intimate hugging was with clothes on of off. I know you can not get pregnant just by intimate contact, unless you had your clothes off. A guy doesn't have to ejaculate inside of you for you to get pregnant. The secretions from him if touched to you down there can contain semen enough to get pregnant. I wouldn't have believed this if it had not happened to my sister. STD's can be transferred this way too. Pills can always do funny things to our bodies. You just need to go to a doctor about that. Try getting a second opinion. If you worry about being pregnant, go to the drugstore and buy a pregnancy test. It will tell you in a matter of minutes if you are. And lastly sweety, if you don't have a clue then don't mess with that kind of intimacy. There's plenty of time for that later! I liken it to peeking inside a Christmas gift before Christmas. It is so much much better to wait! oh yeah... maybe consult a nutritionist instead of taking drugs like that. That sounds way unhealthy. . Ignorance breeds fear, so good for you for reaching out to learn more. This to shall pass. God bless you.

You need to eat more protein. I'm sorry about your period but I honestly have no clue. But about being a vegetarian... Well, you should recconsider it. It's really bad for your health, and it dosnt really make you any skinnier or live longer or anything, that happens just by eating right, meat is right, look at your two front teeth those are for eating meat. Thats what their there for. And if your being a vegetarrian to save the annimals, well with the world eating animals, you arnt gonna save them just cause you stop. And there are more cows alive just because we eat them. I bet you also didn't think about the poor plants. There completely defensless and can't move, yet you eat them and soely them. Poor things don't even get a chance to grow and live. It's sad, I'm crying all over my keyboard right now, not even joking, well its not that bad but my eyes are watering, whenever someone talks about being a vegetarian, it sucks.... Append not end! press 9 not #! thats the slogan of my non-vegetarian club, you still get to eat plants, but you have to eat meat as well.... about your period, you should seriously consult a doctor...

being on the pill is also used to regulate your period I would call your dr.s office and ask the nurse or you local health department. I was never regular but when on the pill I was- hated that pill....lol Stay on it though I had a baby at 17. You should keep track of start and finish times and also whether it was light, heavy, spotty or what so if something should be wrong your dr knows everything.Good luck!

first, it is normal, until ur period regulates, it will be unpredictable... ur best bet is to write it down on ur calender, when u get it, and when u finish..... 2nd, being a veg, u r losing nutrients that meat and poultry provide, which improves ur circulation, u may want 2 consider supplements to replace what ur not getting..... 3rd, the medication could b interfering also..... it's best 2 keep track, drink lots of water, and talk w ur doctor.... and it's probably best 2 refrain from being 2 intimate at such a young age, enjoy urself, enjoy being 13 for awhile, there will b plenty of time for other things when ur older..........

Hey sweetie:
Fear not! You are perfectly normal.
When you first start your period it can take up to a year before it is regular and some people (like me) never have a regular cycle. Just be sure to eat right and get plenty of rest and you will be just fine. Don't worry!

two things...you just got your period and there are ALOT OF THINGS to learn.(like i was telling my daughter)i have been having it for decades but You should know , no two women are alike. no one is alike. one might get cramps every period. and other will not, luckily ever suffer bad periods.some people miss periods.every one is different. but yeah you should speak with your doctor.because you are on medication and also you are a veg.and this is your first year.and it is very important to share your concern with another female adult you trust and willing to go with you and help you better understand things.also ask alot of questions.Women's health is very important. regular checkups very important.take care of yourself.
