In my mom's yearbook I found Anita Dick. Stuff happens. Maybe it's one of those "character building" things - or maybe it's a case of the "sins of the parents being visited upon the children" or whatever.

Then again, define a "bad name." I went to school with a girl named Chastity Bushbaum. To me, that's a name you don't soon forget - probably an edge in job interviews etc.

You obviously don't live near Detroit or you would know the one named Dr. Smelsey who is a foot specialist, for real. I gave my daughter sort of a different name because she was her fathers fifth girl. Her name is Randie Jo. I never really realized when I named her that that she had to boys names I guess you could say. But I used my sisters middle name, my cousins first name and my mother in laws first name. So I guess she was just stuck with Randie Jo. It could have been worse her father wanted to name her Randy instead of Randi so that is how she ended up with Randie it was in the baby book for girls names.

I once had to conduct a telephone interview with a guy called Mr. F. Lucking-Patient (I regretted having that second drink at lunchtime!).

There used to be a company near where I lived run by Mr. A. King-Dick

Names like Willow and Peaches and Tigerlily are just hippyfied and should stay in the 60's.

Your children will not appreciate you giving them "unique" names when they're being teased at school for having hippy parents.

Maybe they should let the child choose a name for themselves at about 10 years old if they dislike the one the parents have picked, I hate my name but I still wouldn't punish my mom for calling me what she did.
