i find it amazing when i see these questions - did you know that we have the cleanest burning cars? just because it is more fuel efficiant doesn't make it beeter. and if we've learned anything from countries who have cars with better fuel efficiancy it's that it make the gas prices go up... so how is that better for the general economy? if we go the non petrol way, then all kinds of people lose their jobs... so you have to make sure that the new kind of gas will employ at least that many people to even begin to keep the economy the same.

prehaps on a large country scale
but what about people like me?
I got enough money for by bills, and food.
now a price doubles, triples, ( passing my yearly raises)
its gotta come out of something.
where do I get that money from?
its bad on my moral, and times that out by however thousands of people it affects in a similar way,,,,
and you see a problem.
and to be honest, if a new car came out today that ran on air and sunshine, I couldn't afford to go buy it anyway....

You're right. That makes a lot of sense. I had never looked at it that way before but I like the way you think.
