I think the correct word you are looking for is SUBVERSIVE, not deviance. Ah, I get you now. Being an artistic 'deviant' gives your artwork a promotional tag that you can PROFIT from. Be the bad deviant artist with an edge that makes you more of a marketable commodity. Andy Warhol did the same thing. His pop art was a deviance, now the man is a cult figure.......he makes more money now he's dead. All because he was a deviant. Who wants to be a boring subversive when you can be a deviant? You're a freakin' genius. Good thinking.
